The Wildschönau is the perfect base for skiers with 70 km of top quality piste up to 1900m, 26 lifts, Race `n' Boarder Arena, snowboard fun park, Tyrolean hospitality in the mountain huts and restaurants and of course plenty of apres ski/nightlife. For non downhill skiers, there are various other activities on offer. There are 50 kms of cross country skiing tracks, 40 km of winter walking tracks, guided snow shoe walks, sleigh rides, toboggan runs, Nordic walking, concerts and numerous restaurants, cafes and bars.
In the spring, summer or autumn, whether you're looking for peace and relaxation or a sporting challenge, there's plenty of choice for everyone. A whole world of hiking and walking possibilities opens up, with the gondolas transporting you to the top of the mountains for breathtaking views. The mountain paths provide well marked and safe tracks for walking, biking or cycle tours with spectacular scenery as a backdrop. In addition there's an open air swimming pool complex and if that is not enough, there are other exciting pursuits to try out, for example, paragliding (with one of the world's largest paragliding schools), rafting, canyoning, horse riding and the new high rope course.
